I'm a bit of a scaredy cat so my walk out to my deer stand on the dark mornings is not peaceful.  Everything noise, big or little, makes me jump.  But once I get up into the stand, it's so worth braving the haunted trails to get there.  Watching the sunrise from the quiet of the woods is one of the great joys of hunting season to me.

My deer stand faces east so I've got a front row seat.

This morning the moon was behind me.

Here it comes!

And now it's blue skies.

This is the guy I was waiting for, captured on one of the trail cameras over the weekend.  Alas, he did not show himself today.
